Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Interspark's development retainer services, managed hosting, and related infrastructure services. It is designed to ensure fair use, protect all clients, and maintain the quality of our services.
1. Scope
This policy applies to all clients using Interspark's retainer-based development services, managed hosting, and infrastructure services.
By using our Services, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violation may result in service modification, suspension, or termination.
2. Fair Use of Development Hours
Subscription development plans include a defined allocation of senior engineering hours per month as specified in your plan.
Hours are intended for a single product or project stream. Using a single retainer to service multiple unrelated products or business units requires a separate agreement.
Unused hours do not roll over between billing periods unless explicitly stated in your plan.
We work in structured development cycles. Requests should be submitted with sufficient context and acceptance criteria to enable efficient priority setting.
3. Reasonable Requests
We handle architecture design, full-stack development, code review, infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD pipeline setup, performance optimization, security hardening, database design, API development, and technical documentation.
Requests should be scoped to tasks that can be meaningfully progressed within a development cycle. Extremely large initiatives will be broken into phased deliverables collaboratively.
We expect clients to provide timely feedback, access to required systems, and clear decision-making authority to maintain delivery momentum.
4. Excluded Activities
The following are not covered under the standard retainer and may require separate agreements:
5. Managed Hosting Usage
Managed hosting resources are provisioned for the workloads described in your SOW. Significant deviations in resource consumption may require plan adjustments.
You may not use hosting infrastructure for unauthorized purposes including but not limited to: hosting malicious software, phishing sites, spam relay, illegal content, or services that violate applicable laws.
Bandwidth and resource usage that significantly impacts other clients on shared infrastructure may be throttled or require migration to dedicated resources.
6. Monitoring and Enforcement
Interspark monitors service usage to ensure compliance with this AUP and to maintain service quality for all clients.
We will notify you of any potential violations and work collaboratively to resolve them before taking enforcement action.
Monitoring is conducted in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applies only to service usage patterns, not to the content of your data or communications.
7. Consequences of Violation
Violations of this AUP may result in the following actions, applied progressively based on severity:
8. Reporting
If you believe another client or user is violating this AUP, or if you have questions about whether a particular use is permitted, please use our compliance contact form.
We investigate all reports in good faith and will keep the reporter's identity confidential to the extent possible.
